What is Office 365 ProPlus?
Microsoft Office ProPlus is a subscription to the latest version of the Microsoft Office suite of programs including:
- Access (Windows Only)
- Publisher (Windows Only)
Western has recently signed a Campus License Agreement with Microsoft to provide Microsoft products to the Campus. As part of that agreement, Western WTS would like to proudly announce the Microsoft Student Advantage. The Student Advantage agreement will allow Western to provide students with a full Office ProPlus subscription for personal use at no cost. Users will be allowed to install Office on up to 10 devices they own, including mobile devices and Macs.
How do I get Office 365 ProPlus?
If you are a Western or Affiliate Student, faculty member, or staff, go to http://myoffice.uwo.ca and login to obtain and manage your free copies of Microsoft Office. Additional setup information can be found here.
Who Is Eligible?
All Western and Affiliate students, faculty, and staff qualify for Office 365 ProPlus downloads for home use.

What is it?
- Free Instant Messaging program included with Microsoft Office
- Fully integrated with your Calendar and the Western Directory
- Built in VOIP and Video Calling (microphone and/or webcam required)

Who can use it?
- Faculty & Staff
You can send instant messages, share desktops, files and presentations and see meeting participants and availablity of others. Please note that connecting outside of Western is intermittent and depends on destination accessibility.
How do I get it?
Skype for Business is included with the Microsoft Office download for Windows and can be found on the app store for Android and iOS users.
Mac users can obtain Skype for Business by follwing the directions below:
- Go to http://myoffice.uwo.ca and login
- Click the Gear icon in the top right corner
- Click Office 365 Settings
- Click Software on the left
- Click Lync on the left
Users have to download the Skype for Business client and the update found directly below that. Install both and then restart your Mac.

OneDrive is 1 TB of online storage in the Microsoft cloud where you can save, store, sync, and share files with the tools you use every day to create, communicate, and collaborate from your PC/Mac or your iOS®, Android™, or Windows device. Files can be created and modified with version tracking and file collaboration.While using OneDrive is optional, all usage must comply with Western's Computing, Technology & Information Resources Policy.
