SAS Campus Agreement

The agreement allows single-use or network installations on Western-owned systems or personal computers.

Access to the software depends on your eligibility as a faculty member, staff person or student. Any UNAUTHORIZED copying of software or a product's authorization code can harm the entire University community. 

Eligibility and Installation

Faculty, Staff and Graduate students

  • Faculty, staff, and grad students are eligible to install SAS on their personal computers.
  • Requests to install SAS on personal computers should be sent to sitelic@uwo.ca and should include:
    • your faculty / Department
    • your role in the department: Faculty, Staff, or Student etc. 
  • SAS software must only be used for for Western academic research and/or class preparation.
  • SAS can only be installed on a Windows 64-bit only system. 
  • SAS must be completely removed from your system once you leave the university.

Undergraduate Students

  • Access options:
  • Requests to install SAS on personal computers should be sent to sitelic@uwo.ca and should include:
    • your course code
    • your instructor/supervisor's name and email address
    • that you are a student requestor
  • SAS must only be used for for Western academic purposes.
  • SAS can only be installed on a Windows 64-bit only system. 
  • SAS must be completely removed from your system once you leave the university.

Affiliated University Colleges

 Renewing SAS

To access the renewal instructions for SAS (re-installation is not required even if your license has expired):

  • sign in software.uwo.ca (using your Western credentials)
  • select SAS then the release you need renewed (in right sidebar)
  • read and accept Western's site license end user agreement
  • select your faculty
  • download/extract the zipped folder to your system (this may happen automatically)
  • open the appropriate folder then follow the renewal instructions

Network Installs

Annual licenses for SAS Server are available for a fee (per CPU). If you would like to learn more about a network setup, email us at sitelic@uwo.ca.
