Malicious Pretext Phone Calls: RISK High
We have had many reports of pretext calls being received from fraudsters pretending to be from well known software companies such as Adobe or Microsoft. These callers will try to convince you that they are from the stated company and would like to send you a patch via an email attachment.
These attachments contain malicious payloads. If you are not expecting a call from the company in question, do not reveal any personal information, do not give them your email address and end the conversation as quickly as possible.
