ALERT: Be aware of current events being exploited by scammers
Phishing emails and social media posts, exploiting people's concerns with the coronavirus, have begun to circulate.
Western CyberSmart would like to remind faculty, staff and students to remain vigilant and mindful of the threats posed by phishing or scam emails.
- Do not open or respond to email that you suspect are phishing or a scam.
- Do not open attachments or click on links unless you are certain of the source.
- Do not provide your Western credentials (username and password) to any email request.
- Do not input your Western credentials on any website unless you are certain it is for a legitimate Western purpose.
