On Monday, September 28th, Microsoft reported issues with users being able to log into Office 365 applications including email and Teams. Western users were among those who reported difficulties in logging in.
Microsoft determined that a specific portion of their infrastructure was not processing authentication requests in a timely manner. They began rerouting traffic to alternate systems which resulted in Western users being able to login again at approximately 8:15 p.m.
