Get Ready for Fall with iClicker and VoiceThread Training + Q&A

The eLearning Technology team at Western Technology Services is hosting two vendor-led online training sessions this September for Western instructors and staff who use or support iClicker and VoiceThread. These one-hour Zoom sessions are tailored to Western and will provide practical guidance for using each tool with OWL Brightspace.

iClicker Training + Q&A – Tuesday, September 22, 2026 

Learn how to use iClicker Cloud to support student participation and engagement. The session will cover setting up a course through OWL Brightspace, syncing rosters and grades, creating polls and quizzes, using attendance activities, and reviewing student participation and performance.

VoiceThread Training + Q&A – Wednesday, September 30, 2026 

Explore how VoiceThread can be used through OWL Brightspace to create interactive presentations, discussions, reflections, peer feedback activities, and graded assignments. The session will also cover sharing and access settings, recommended practices, and time for questions.
