Introducing New VoiceThread

VoiceThread has introduced a major update to their platform. This update includes a new interface, bulk comment management options, zooming and panning while commenting, and one conversation view.

The new interface includes full accessibility and a combined Course View that displays both Assignments and VoiceThreads created in your course.

Additional features are also coming soon, including drag-and-drop sharing, bulk actions on the homepage (e.g., deleting or sharing multiple threads at once), and customized closed caption display options.

Some features have also been discontinued in New VoiceThread, such as phone commenting.

You can enable the new view for yourself in your VoiceThread preferences. Check VoiceThread’s release notes for more information on these changes and how to opt-in to the New VoiceThread. Currently, the new interface is set to become the default by the end of 2023.
