Help Shape the Future of OWL Brightspace at Western
Added on October 1, 2026 by Rim Zakaria
Western Technology Services (WTS) and the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) are inviting members of the Western community to participate in a series of OWL Brightspace Listening Sessions this fall.
These sessions are an opportunity for faculty, staff, librarians, archivists, and students to share their experiences using OWL Brightspace and help inform future improvements to Western's learning management system. Feedback will help identify what is working well, what challenges users are facing, and where enhancements to system configuration, support resources, and workflows may be needed. The insights gathered will also help Western advocate for platform improvements with D2L where local changes are not possible.
Each session will be held online via Zoom and will run for two hours. Participants are encouraged to register for the session that best aligns with their role at Western.
Listening Session Schedule
- Staff: Tuesday, October 20, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
- Faculty: Monday, November 16, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- Graduate Students: Tuesday, November 24, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
- Undergraduate Students: Friday, November 27, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
- Librarians, Archivists, and Library Staff: Friday, December 4, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
If you are unable to attend a live session, you can still contribute feedback through the asynchronous OWL Brightspace 2026 Listening Session Form.
Your input will help shape the future of OWL Brightspace and ensure it continues to meet the teaching, learning, and collaboration needs of the Western community. We encourage everyone to participate and share their perspectives.
Questions about the listening sessions can be directed to elearning-support@uwo.ca.
