Turnitin
Turnitin is an originality detection tool available to all Western faculty and students. The tool compares student-submitted work to its depository and produces an originality score based on the percentage of matches to existing works, including journal-published articles, online resources, and previously submitted papers.
Turnitin is available to all Western faculty and students within OWL Sakai and OWL Brightspace via the Assignments tools.
For faculty who wish to use Turnitin outside of OWL, please reach out to the WTS Helpdesk.
