Managing Space Permissions

As a result of the Atlassian Cloud Migration, permissions for Confluence spaces are now directly managed by the space administrators.

This allows for easier user management as well as more granular control over users permissions.

To add users to your Confluence space:

  1. Log in to Confluence
  2. Under Spaces, click on the space which you wish to manage.
  3. On the left side navigation bar, click on Space Settings > Space Permissions.
    HINT:
If the side bar isn't visible, you can maximize it by clicking on the '>' button on the left side of your screen.
  4. Under ' Individual Users', click on ' Edit Permissions'.
  5. Under 'Search for internal users', enter the User ID or name for a user you wish to add to your space.
  6. Click 'Add'.

Having issues adding an user? It could be possible that this user does not have a license for Confluence - licenses for Confluence are assigned on a per-user basis and can be requested by clicking the Request a Confluence license button and completing the form.
