Western uses CrowdStrike, an industry-leading Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solution, to protect university-owned devices. The Security Operations Team (SOC) manages the enterprise-wide EDR environment, and IT units across campus may request direct access to the CrowdStrike platform, providing:
- Improved visibility into the devices they support
- Coordinated alerts and incident response actions to reduce security risks
- Enhanced endpoint protection across the university's technology environment
