This service covers the full lifecycle of user identities for individuals at Western University, including students, faculty, staff, alumni, and approved external users. Key activities include:

  • Identity Activation and Claiming: Ensuring new users can securely claim and activate their Western identity.
  • Provisioning and Access Management: Assigning appropriate access rights across campus systems and Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations.
  • Authentication Management: Enrolling users in Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), managing MFA devices, and enforcing password policies to maintain security.
  • Lifecycle Management: Updating, maintaining, and de-provisioning identities as roles change or users leave the institution.
