Service Description
The Security Operations Team (SOC) conducts Cybersecurity Risk Assessments for any new or proposed technologies, platforms, software, or data initiatives at Western University. This process helps ensure that new systems are safe, secure, and aligned with Western's security standards. Assessments include:
- Evaluating potential risks and vulnerabilities
- Reviewing security controls and compliance requirements
- Providing recommendations to improve security and reduce risk

To request a risk assessment:
- Please email the WTS Security Operations Team or
- Submit a ticket to the WTS Helpdesk
