Solstice Wireless Presentation & Collaboration

Solstice is the wireless presentation and collaboration solution for G.U. classrooms and presentation spaces. With Solstice, any number of users, any amount of content from a mobile device can be shared with a local video display using the Solstice Client app, Airplay, Miracast or a web browser.

Solstice Display Client is currently available for:

  • Android
  • iOS
  • OSX
  • Windows

First Time Setup

First time setup using Solstice will require a download/install of the Mersive Solstice App.

  1. Go to: https://www.mersive.com/download/
  2. Select the client version for your personal device
  3. Install/download the appropriate Solstice client

Solstice Display Option

The majority of GU classrooms feature a dedicated “Solstice” button that can be selected on the AV control interface. Select the AV input source for Solstice on the AV control system to show Solstice on the main video display in the room.

Connect to a Solstice Display

To connect your device to the solstice display, you should have the Solstice app running on your device.

  1. Make sure your device is connected to the Western wireless network (uwosecure-v2)
  2. Launch the Mersive Solstice App
  3. Select Enter IP address
  4. Enter the display's IP address (129.100.xxx.xxx)
  5. Enter the 4-digit on-screen key (The key is randomly generated)
  6. The user app will join the collaboration session with full media posting and control rights.

Mobile Device

Any type of user-owned device that is supported by the Solstice App. Users can share and control content from their device to the Solstice Display.

Welcome Screen

The welcome screen appears when a Solstice Display is not currently being used for a collaboration session. It shows the Solstice display name, a screen key, network information, and user connection instructions.

In-Room Camera's and Mic's

The Solstice “In-Room Camera and Microphone” feature is not available in G.U Classrooms and Presentation spaces. Instead, end-users should refer to the room’s a/v system to access the integrated Camera(s) and Microphone(s) - as applicable.
