Microphone Placement Guide
Microphone placement/location is important for effective voice lift performance.
Please ensure the microphone maintains a clear line-of-sight to the presenter's mouth, without physical obstruction.
Wireless Handheld Microphone
- Talk directly into the top of the mic.
- Mic needs to be roughly 6" (15cm) from your mouth.
Instructor Lapel Microphone
- Centered as close to your collar bone as possible.
- Microphone capsule must point towards your mouth.
- Mic position extremely important for this style of microphone.
Tabletop Podium Microphone
- The podium microphone is very sensitive and can be shared; 2 people for 1 microphone.
- Speak into it more than 6" (15cm) and less than 24" (60cm).
- Press centre red button to mute or unmute.
